Dan: Barefoot Trekking, Who's Afraid?

Dan is a high school student who decided to experience a hiking trip before the summer vacation ended, barefoot of course. The location was by a lakeside, a scenic area. When we bought the entrance tickets, we didn't purchase the shuttle bus tickets. The ticket seller said, “It will take over an hour to walk there.”

In the afternoon, the ground was a bit hot, but she could still accept it, walking very naturally while enjoying the roadside scenery. When we encountered water-friendly sections, we would go down to wade in the water and play a bit.

She took big strides and walked very fast. It was hard for me to keep up while carrying the camera. Her bare feet on the road surface were like wearing a pair of canvas shoes. As we neared the destination, she started to struggle a bit, saying her feet hurt a little. No wonder, even my legs were sore and weak wearing shoes, haha.
